The performer charcoal grill with Touch-N-Go gas ignition features a 22.5" porcelain-enameled bowl and lid with a dual-purpose thermometer, a Tuck-Away lid holder, Char-Basket fuel holders, and a heavy duty plated hinged cooking grate. The cart has a thermoset work table, heavy-duty steel cart frame, a CharBin charcoal holder which holds up to 20 lbs of charcoal, wire bottom shelf, factory assembled One-Touch cleaning system with removeable black aluminum ash catcher, and 3 molded tool holders. The Performer grill uses 14.1 oz or 16 oz. disposable propane bottles, which should allow for up to twelve 10 minute ignitions (tank not included). Comes with a limited warranty. Protect your grill with this full-length heavy-duty vinyl cover. It fits Performer charcoal grills (2005 model and newer).

          Before using the Performer, I'd never charcoal-grilled without using starter fluid - and didn't know what I was missing. Grilling on the Performer is like grilling on a campfire - the only added flavor to the meat is a hint of campfire. Using Weber's suggestion of searing, then placing the steaks on the perimeter worked well also. I'll never use a gas grill again...

          Excellent convergence of the two most common grillin' methods - gas and charcoal. It's a twenty minute process until you are actually cooking, but at that point you are all coal. The first 5 - 10 minutes pumps propane fueled flames into the butt of the charcoal bins, bringing them up to a nice orange glow of heat, the next 10 - 15 minutes is all about letting the coals mellow. Then we're grillin' on coal, baby!

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
